Is this a good camcorder?
Bought one a week ago and it's better than I thought it would be. Great video - I don't use it for stills (I have an 8mp digital camera) not bad in low light (not dark). Comes with a lens cap and a 1200ma battery which lasts about 1 1/2 hours. Small, compact and sturdy. I'd give it a try.
Correction: The 1,200 MAh battery lasts 20-35 minutes. The 1,800 MAh is the one lasts for an hour or so.
But yea, it's a great camcorder. It can record just audio, it lets u choose wat quality u want for ur videos (Like HD 1080p, 720p 60fps, 720p 30fps, D1, and CIF). It has a 2.4 inch swivel LCD. It lets u take pictures that r 3 mega pixels, 5, or 8. I reccomend 5 cuz it wont take up ur battery that much.
U can plug it into ur TV's AV output ports to record directly from a TV show or video game.
But yea it's a great camcorder.
After a full charge of the 1200ma battery I set the A-HD+ on a tripod and started recording. An hour and a half later the camera died. I couldn't check the video until I recharged the battery again but it was there. After an hour of recording I still had one bar in the battery indicator.
It said on www.aiptek.com that the 1,200 MAh lasts for 20-35 mins, and the 1,800 lasts for around an hour.
All I can say is to do the same test yourself and see.
I don't feel like it =P I'll juse take ur word for it. But then how much does the 1,800 MAh one go for?
I don't have that battery. I'd still try the test just to see whether you get the same results. maybe I got a mutant battery. If I hadn't seen it for myself, I wouldn't have believed it either.
