not used it yet, rely on reports and support from cnet.
firefox three is brill (it's on my watch list)
for updates and tricks

Thought the 'private browsing' page was a useful feature but have just discovered that IE8 has similar feature, in addition to other cool stuff like colour coded tabs.
Also, when looking at a 'youtube' search, the scroll bar on the right doesn't operate properly with Chrome. (It does start to operate OK once you start watching a video though)
Shame, I'm a big fan of google, but IE8 has me sucked in......

It is very good, facilitates the connection with my favorites, but unlike IE, it haven't translator on line, at least I don't find it

Browser is stable,crisp and small in size and is a good bare bones browser. I think, however that it is too skimpy in features (takes multiple clicks to reach common features) and is rather bland in appearance. Also I think that Google (like Microsoft) has too many fingers in the proverbial pie already. They are becoming monopolistic and somewhat big brotherly as of late. I am not comfortable with the fact that Google has outbound priveleges beyond almost every computer firewall on the planet. This being said, I still prefer Google Chrome over Internet Explorer. No matter how many times Microsoft tweaks this browser it will always be unstable and crappy. It seldom works well unless you allow it to take total control of your computer and privacy. My advice: try the Enigma browser in medium or light mode. (Full feature mode is slow and hangs unless you have more than 2 gigs memory and at least 2.5 ghz proccessing speed) this is a poweful browser that may be the last browser you ever use once you configure it to your liking.

It does not matter if you are interested or not, interest means nothing without in this case, because Chrome does support mac and who knows if its ever going to.

To be perfectly honest, I don't need another web browser. FF3 gives me the flexibility to do everything I nee on the internet and occasionally more. The only times I would every consider using IE would be on websites that FF failed to render properly.
Also, I'm not entirely happy with using a browser backed by a large internet corporation, as I can't determine the motives they would have with any of my private information.
So, I may give it a try, but not for a long while, especially if it's going to be the hog on resources as some others have said previously. One of the great strengths of FF3 is that it will run quietly in the background whilst you're in another online application, and it wont take up too much CPU time

Downloaded it, looked around, deleted it. I still prefer Firefox, (though that one gets bogged down with more than a few add-ins).
It required some hunting to find things. The look was clean and sleek, but I think I'll wait until a later version of it to look at it more seriously.
One of these days, when MS finally flushes the closed-minded, proprietary, secretive Old Guard and realizes what a gem they would have with IE as Open Source and adhering to W3 standards, there truly will be a struggle for everyone else in the browser world.

I tried Chrome for about a week and IE8 for about two, but in my foolhardy attempt at importing Bookmarks from IE8 to Chrome, the OS (XP) went south and system scans became impossible. I deleted Chrome and went back to IE7, and things are fine now.
I may try them again when I feel sufficiently foolhardy and have the time to squander.

The first impression is like using a chopped browser with a bulging look.Google doesn't add the search facility ( at least wikipedia must be included ). The page loading time is much faster than firefox 3 but firefox is lighter on system resources and chrome takes more space.It sometimes stuck when playing a game(heavy one like GTA ) and watching a video on youtube. Popup blocker,download status bar and many other features are copied 4m firefox.Still prefer Firefox3.0 (no reason found to switch).

I don't do beta's anymore. I will not be a guinea pig for google.
Besides Firefox 3 is the best browser in the world, no need to experiment.

First of all, why do I need one more browser. Second, I am sooooo tired of taking the Google tool bar off of clients computers. It is like an uninvited guest that keeps sneaking back in. I am starting to not trust Google.

The Good News:
It will probably be part of the coming Google social network: Googling Social.
Chrome runs way faster than FireFox because it uses a much better JavaScript engine to compile AJAX.
Also it uses less memory to run when open on your machine.
Yes Opera, rocks and runs better than IE of FF.
Bad News:
Google may know even more about you than they already do.
Opera does not allow third party software like RoboForm or the Google toolbar.
I expect Chrome does not either.
Also it only runs on XP and above.
Win2K users like me are left out and so are large office networks that mostly still run Win2K.
It will put FireFox out of business.
Chrome has a huge security flaw called a buffer overrun that would allow malicious script or a direct attack on your network to have full access to your machine and hence your network.
The good news is the user numbers are so low no one is spending anytime writing Spyware or malicious apps for the Chrome browser.
That alone makes it more secure for now.
The bottom line: I would pay $50 for a browser that works properly. All I want is a blazing fast experience, no gimmicks, bells or whistles.
Forget about integrated search, if I want to search I will go to Google. Let me install RoboForm, Google PageRank and let me set the RSS reader of choice and when I click an RSS feed just go there and add it. Don't waste my time with junk, just do the job right: Render web pages yesterday.
Chrome fast and simple

I used FF.2 for several years and was totally happy but when I downloaded FF.3 to my Vista machine it chronically crashed before I could even send a crash report. I spent hours on the forums and the knowledge base but NEVER found a solution only a gazillion others that were having the same problem as I. I switched to OPERA and really liked some of its features but, for my machine, it was quite slow. I downloaded Chrome and it seemed like lightening compared to Chrome and I plan to stick with it, at least for a while. The only problem is it will only import favorites from IE and all mine are on OPERA so that has presented a dilemma I have not yet solved. However, I am a GOOGLE devotee and think they will keep improving their new baby.

Like most people I started with IE. Liked Firefox better so I started using it but kept IE. Then I got hooked on Opera, but I kept Firefox and IE. So along comes Chrome. I've been using it since day one.Fast, simple clean. With a little work I'll keep Opera and Firefox and IE as I use all but Chrome has a chance to move into my main browser.
