iTunes Artwork

by rosscbrown - 9/11/08 9:33 PM

Ugh, this is driving me crazy. I'm looking for a 'nice' way to sort out my iTunes meta-data and artwork. With iTunes 8 being more pretty and the entire iPod range (bar shuffle) using the Artwork more and more in the UI, I need to fix my library.

Things I have tried:

iTunes 'Artwork Getter Thingy'
10% of my Album Artwork downloaded in lovely high quality. (Cost: Free (ish))

Amazon mTurk
After spending two hours trying to export usable data from iTunes I finally had a comma separated list of albums and artists for the good people of mTurk to find artwork for.

I now have 1600 image URLs to load and drag over into iTunes. In short, too much work.

2% of my Artwork sorted. (Cost: US$50)

So that leaves 88% or 1400 songs still needing artwork.

I guess I could start over and buy all my music again - then again who *wants* to give Steve et al over at apple $2000 of my hard earned cash for artwork.

How do I fix this? I mean it is really annoying me. I'm going crazy! I'm telling you, I actually avoid opening iTunes.
