Accidental ear input on the iPhone?

by electronista - 9/7/08 6:44 AM In reply to: iphone experiences for a couple weeks by itasara

You shouldn't be making unintentional calls with your ear -- it's supposed to shut off the display when you put it close to your ear and prevent accidental input. It certainly works that way for me.

It lasts a long time for music here, as well. Have you tried calibrating the battery by running it down to near-empty and then charging it back up to full?

LG Dare displays shuts off

by esteban28 - 9/7/08 9:42 AM In reply to: Accidental ear input on the iPhone? by electronista

Yeah, I hate when the display shuts off and it never comes back quick so you better not answer any calls when driving. I tried to listen to my voice mail once and the stupid display shut off that I almost threw the cell phone out the window while driving. Bottom line, even using a bluethooth, the device display shuts off.

iphone slipping.

by itasara - 11/1/08 11:47 AM In reply to: iphone sucks by peaber

I have my Iphone in a leather case and it does not slip out of my hand. The problem is when I talk on the phone and the phone rests on my cheek, it puts the person I'm talking to on hold or on speaker or it accidentally dials another person on my list. I also have a problem with not having voice dial as I may have mentioned, but still it is a really great phone. When I went out of town the GPS keeps me from getting lost and I was able to pick up my mail anywhere. I also don't like that it eats battery power. Has anyone tried one of those battery extenders I have heard about for the iphone?

Apple APP

by Benzodiazepine - 1/28/09 10:08 PM In reply to: LG DARE vs Iphone by useyourbrain

My reason to get an iPhone is all those downloadable apps.
I think this is the main reason people gets it as well.

So .. no other comparison ..

iPhone is like another league of competition.

Lg dare much better, iphone nothing special

by SarAein - 4/22/09 6:49 PM In reply to: LG DARE vs Iphone by useyourbrain

I cannot believe how much fanboyism still exists with apple products. I guess people would figure out by now... Anyways, the dare is excellent, too many features to mention. I'm finding new ones often. The iphone is mind boggling how people treat like a god-sent product. Honestly, my phone from 2004 had features the Iphone still does not and basic features at that. like video, pic messaging. I mean come on the Iphone incredible worshiping is almost laughable. I'm not saying that the Iphone is extremely terrible, but so many phones have so much more and are just better. Apple acts like they've been innovators, but every feature that the Iphone boasts has already been done by companies that don't use incredible amounts of advertising dollars to bash other companies. The only thing the Iphone/ipod has going for it is the App store. This is truly amazing. And I have no idea why other companies haven't created one. The phone would be nothing special without it. Blackberry now is apparently going to start an app store. Let's see it LG!

LG Dare

by esteban28 - 4/25/09 8:02 AM In reply to: LG DARE vs Iphone by useyourbrain

Dude, I have an LG Dare. My coworkers have iPhones. Trust me, you want to go with an iPhone if you are into downloading free applications for almost everything. If you just want a phone with dial numbers, then the LG Dare is for you. End of story!

LG dare has dialing capabilities?! of course, haven't phones since the beginning they were invented had those capabilities? Out of the box the Lg Dare offers so many more features.
