Weather Forecast application for my AT&T Blackjack

by bradygolo - 8/24/08 8:30 PM

Hi Guys,

I recently purchased a Samsung Blackjack. Does anyone know of a cool weather application for the Blackjack?

Thanks in advance.

Works pretty well and can integrate with your homescreen.

Cool and weather in the same sentence: no thanks

The word cool, makes it sound like winter is already here. Keep the cool to yourself. If you want something hot than I would recommend Pocket Express, you can download it for free at the ATT site at

I use it for news, sports and the weather.

Thanks, Pocket Express gets my vote

Thanks for the help guys, I tried both FizzWeather and PocketExpress.

I really liked PocketExpress for it's weather service and the whole of other features the software comes with. It was easy to install and the free services are great.

To be honest I would have been happy with the weather service, but the news, sports, stock channels on the software are great. It's become a part of my every day routine. They have a really cool blog called Red's Blog which I read like every day.

So sorry about the looking for "cool", Pocket Express is hot for many reasons!

Okay, enough with the weather and temperature metaphors. I like Pocket Express (which I use on my att Windows Mobile smartphone) because it aggregates lots of information with a good amount of depth and organization, with some location-based personalization. Plus, the downloadable application manages wireless phone limitations well, like small keyboard, small screen, slow and unpredictable networks, and so on. If you happen to be an att customer you can check it out at http://tinyurl.com/attexpress.

Glad you liked Pocket Express. It's something I use as often as my email or text messaging on my phone. So everytime I check email I end up checking the latest news and see where my stocks are (been avoiding that the last few days..hahaha)

Two fearures of Pocket Express

by bradygolo - 9/12/08 1:34 PM In reply to: Glad you like Pocket Express by agoldwater

Yes, I do really enjoy Pocket Express. Two features which I just came across which I think are worth pointing out to current users and prospective users are:

1) You can purchase movie tickets directly through your phone. Pocket Express remembers your details so there is only entry needed ever. This makes purchasing fast and easy. Also the application is location aware so it will tell you what movies are playing nearby (or if needed in your saved movie theaters). So great to get the now playing list anywhere you are.

2) Currency converter: This is the travel section of Pocket Express and it is something that any overseas traveler will tell is something they wish they had at their fingertips all the time. Now they can. Just by downloading Pocket Express.
