Right mouse button not working properly

by Imforgven - 9/6/08 1:18 AM

I guess my question and/or problem is two fold.. I am using a MX 600 wireless mouse. Lately the right button is not working like it should. Normally when I press the right button it will open up a small window that lists copy, paste etc. But lately the small window partly opens up but more like a shadow and i have to pass the pointer over the list for the words copy, paste etc to show up so i can pick which one i want to use..
Also I noticed when I go to Control panel and click on mouse it shows that I am using a PS/2 Compatible mouse and that it is plugged into
PS/2 mouse port..Shouldn't show that I am using a MX 600 wireless mouse. Any help will be appreciated..

Mouse issue

by Tim De Lord - 9/6/08 1:29 AM In reply to: Right mouse button not working properly by Imforgven

Hmmmm...There could be several reasons for tis to happen. Did your mouse come with driver software? and, do you allow a decent time for the mouse to charge. In many instances, you need to have the pc on, and the mouse in the dock, for a few hours, prior to letting it run solo. you might also want to check the device Mgr, and see, what it shows? Is there any warning or question maeks where it shows the mouse?
My first guess would be a driver issue. And , if you installed the driver disk, you might want to go to the site, and download, from the Mfg the latest, and greatest drivers. But make sure you use the right ones!! VERY important. And, of course, we cant rule out a deffective mouse. How old is it? Good luck! ;)

Tried A Different Mouse Yet?

If a different mouse works fine, you know the culprit.

Hope this helps.
