I would also highly recommend getting 1Password for your Mac. The iPhone app can be used stand alone, and it could also sync with the desktop application.

we all like free but i think we all understand that companies have to make some money. But i think the desktop is way too costly. Currently I have so many passwords that entering them all on the iphone would be a royal pain in the a-- even though i love using the iphone.
but lets be honest. $34.95 is way too much for what i am trying to accomplish.
I understand splash ID has an app. which is $9.99 for the combination desktop and handheld. much more reasonable. Does not have to be free but should be reasonable.
ewallet, another $30 app, too much for this !
does anybody know any other apps that have a desktop program (mac) and iphone app, that costs <$20 preferably <$10. I dont need super triple secret encryption, just something that works well at a reasonable cost.

The program is really that good. The developers are responsive and actually *listen* to their users! (you can browse the forums to observe this). The program is constantly improving, and you get a lot of free updates that offers new features, not just bug fixes. It has become one of those programs that I depend on. For example, I just love how easy it is to automatically fill in forms or your login information with a simple keystroke from within any browser. (and it also does this on the iPhone too!) I think many would agree that it's the best Password manager available for the Mac... and now possibly on the iPhone too!
As for entering the passwords to your iPhone, you can import your Safari/Firefox passwords into the desktop app, and then sync it with the iPhone app. You don't need the desktop app to use the iPhone version.

The video describes clicking on buttons to fill in your password, but you can just use the keyboard shortcut key instead (command + \).
If you are willing to wait, it sometimes goes on sale on MacUpdate Promo (http://www.mupromo.com) or MacZot (http://maczot.com/). It's a long time to wait, but I believe MacZot always gives a discount on April 13 (the birthday of one of the developers).

frankly i have been allowing the trial offer to pass without using the product because of the price.
at the same time i have not found anything less costly to trial.
so given your input i will start using it and really give it the chance you say it deserves.

I tried many password manager and I admit that iAccounts is definitely the best, It syncs for FREE over wi-fi with a small but nice application called iBackup. You can download it and use it for free from the company web site. It's a free desktop app, no jokes.

IAccounts has a flexible record structure and is truly polished. You can store all your credentials, from website accounts to card numbers and social security stuff. Real nice UI, very cool brushed metal backgrounds, flexible record structure, etc, etc. And the free backup utility just rocks! Syncs on both MAC and WINDOWS. Give it a try, the company support is real good, there's a few view videos on their web site as well.
