I agree, i felt he was bashing slopy reporting, NOT Cnet.. ![]()
Leo HAS talked about Cnet a few times. I remember him and Dvorak(dot org slash blog) Mostly how they were the first on the scene and how Tech TV lives on in Cnet TV and Revision 3.
Everything I heard on that podcast sounded like he was complaining about sloppy reporting. If he doesn't like it, he'll state his opinion, but it never came across as Cnet bashing. As it was already pointed out, Leo has Cnet personalities on his show constantly. He's had all of the BOL crew on (Minus Jason at the moment). He's been on BOL a few times himself.
If anything, it seems like they all have a somewhat low opinion of Gawker sites.
When is HE going to show on the Twit podcast?
...between Veronica and Jason, I'd say whenever Calicanis convinces Jason to leave BOL for a new start up of his. heh heh.
Was Veronica ever on Twit when she was still on BOL?
At least i think she was a few times...
Veronica has always been a headstrong woman. and Jason has had his own thing and wanted to be in the shadows.. but Tom and Molly have drawn him out of his shell and he is now a good part of the dynamic...
One would say Tom and Molly might have helped shape Veronica and Jason to go beyond there original popularity?
Could Tom and Molly be Popularity Pushers? (imagining Veronica going to Tom and Molly to get a Popularity fix because she is strung out)
I think he was bashing both Cnet and the reporter about Woz. But the reporter didn't get the facts about the story at all and Woz called in and explained what had happened I think that the reporter should apology to Woz that he didn't get the whole story. Leo does tend to bash things with out realizing that he when he bashes a reporter sometime he bashes the whole company and I got it that way too but when Woz called in he understood and he wasn't bashing Cnet but the reporter but he also bashed Cnet on his radio show too.
I would not get too irritated at Leo, most of the stuff he said was in the heat of the moment. He was very annoyed that day that Woz; someone he clearly has has a lot of respect for; was being badly miss-represented by a poorly researched news report.
He clearly has friendships with the BOL crew, and doubt he really meant to shine a "bad light" on them.
