OneCare

What a ghastly waste of money but then,it's your money to waste as you see fit.
One Care sucks and you'll soon tire of it once it starts with all the backups.A new CD for every backup, even if there's only about 80 to 100 mgs on a disc,it wants/insists on a new disc.Lots of us can't afford to waste that many discs that more than likey will never be used.
I took that application the very first day it was out, wasn't a paid app then but after 18 discs with hardly anything on them,I deleted the whole thing, tossed the discs--they won't wipe either, even the re-recordables won't work a second time with Onecare.Thumbs down on that one.

1 Care

at first when i installed 1care i did not have a firm grasp of the program. i have been using it for over a year and it works great with only6 dvd disks for a full year, that is not bad in an ordered set of files. I haveother security programs that work w/1care that augment the rest on my security and havent had any problems ofany kind. I really like vista, Its fast, eazy to navigate, and many bilt in diagonistics. I have another puter/vista and a third /XPPRO and seldom use it because after vista........XP SUCKS!!!!!!!!!

One Care

As mentioned, different strokes for different folks, your entitled.Wouldn't waste my time on One Care or Vista for at least another full year until they get the bugs and rattles out of it.I had One Care from very first day it hit the MS pages and if they would quit the mandatory back up,allow one to do it if one chose,I'd still be using it today. Many of my DVD's which hold nearly 5G,had only 7 or 800 mgs of backup on them but program always insisted on a new disc for each backup, some of us can't afford that extra cost,in addition, being chair bound,it's not an easy thing to get out whenever one feels like it,has to be planned well in advance.Long as your happy with what you have, nothing else matters, good on you.
