Yesterday, I accidentally clicked on an email that launched a pernicious virus known as Win AntiVir 2008.
I think it's mostly removed but one of its after effects is that I can no longer change my wallpaper or screen saver -- the functions don't show up on Control Panel. In addition, I cannot access the Tools/Options features of IE7...an alert appears that says "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."
I have tried changing my local policy settings and also tweaking some suggested registry entries but to no avail.
Do you all have any other suggestions for getting back my functionality?
