since i put my worldcast group email software on my new hard drive, it will no longer send, it just sits there, and the windows program box says not responding. i have windows 98.i am using the same pc as before when it worked, only difference is the hard drive was wiped and reformatted, and every thing had to be reinstalled. i connect by cable modem,tcp/ip. i connect through road runner high speed , but i also have aol, which i am using for my browser. i have installed norton anti virus, which i did not have before. i configure my mailer to use DNS. also, in the ipconfig box, the host name is coming up different. i tried another mailer, it also would not send. what is wrong, is it my DNS messed up?
thanks,
sandra

Most ISPs are now blocking port 25 to slow down spam.
Call and ask about it.
Bob
if that was the case, why did it work before- i am using the same isp?
If you are using software that sends email, it can be an issue. Why not ask?
In closing, I didn't ask if you checked your configuration since you seem to known that.
Bob
You need to go to the link below and follow the instructions

Hope this helps.
In accordance to the FCC Internet policy consumer are entitled to access and lawful content via the internet. Tell your isp this and see if it works. I am currently trying to get att to unblock port 25 and have already filed complaints with the fcc and BBB but so far have had no luck.
