Maybe its just me, perhaps in my old age (over 36) I'm getting fickle. I was informed about Dr Horribles sing along blog, watched it several times, and now am stunned to see that the only legitimate place to PAY to have it is iTunes with its DrM goodness all poser like up in my face.
I do not have an iPod, I would be happy to pay for the video if I could watch it when I want how I want where I want...but no, the video you let me watch for free is now verbotin. I don't understand...I know there are a few hundred torrents out there where anyone with a modicum of skill could get the whole thing for free. So here I am with a choice...pay for a version that doesn't give me what I want, or get what I want for free. Who thought this was a good business model?
I know, I know...stop beating the dead horse but how can you work o hard to build a viral excitement campaign and not realize the very people who are most likely to make you a success are the ones most likely to baulk at restrictive DrM.

I know how you feel....
I wish Apple would release the Dr. Horrible sing-a-long Blog without any DRM, like some music video, then it's worth paying for it, and keep it forever...
But paying the content supports the writers who made the Dr. Horrible sing-a-long... I really mean it, pay the content, support the actors and writers....
When steve jobs introduced DRM-free music. A journalist asked him, what about movies and tv shows, are they going to be DRM free?
He said I expected this question. Then he said, I don't think music and movies are comparable at all. Movies don't have a long history of being without DRM like music does.
Sigh..
There is a DVD release in the future, with extras, per the Master Plan http://www.drhorrible.com/plan.html
Until then check out:
Act 1

Act 2

Act 3

I think maybe it's a lower quality than what was on hulu.com, but it's free.
I missed the last episode! Thank you!
It's available in the original 3 Acts, but also as one 42 minute show optimistically called "Episode 1".
