When I plug my mp3 player in (it's a coby) I go to sync and I drag the songs I want over the area where I'm supposed to, but it won't let me sync, it says connect a device, which is already connected, and it won't let me sync. I have no clue how to do this, and nothing shows up when I plug my mp3 player in. I'm getting annoyed and confused. Can anyone help me?
I asked another site to help me and someone responded with this.
"have you tried opening the folders up manually on 'my computer'?
it should have a removable drive with your songs and stuff, drag and drop into there"
I have tried that too, but nothing seems to be working. I don't know if I'm just completely stupid, somethings wrong with my computer, or if I'm just doing something wrong.
Help please?
And no the Mp3 player did not come with a disk to download software or anything, I'm at a complete loss here.
I also have the same problem with my Creative Zen Vision: M
But I'm pretty sure that my player has one leg in the grave. Everytime I turn it on it "rebuilds" as it does when I do a hard reset.
Could the drivers for the device not be installed? Some MP3 players (I'm not familiar with Coby) require drivers before they work. But a lot of MP3 players have the drivers install automatically when you plug it in. But this is just an idea, I'm guessing here.
Then, could the connection be faulty? You said it doesn't do anything when you plug it in. Does it charge up? If it does, its not the connection.
I'm sorry, but I'm guessing, and those might (actually, probably) won't work. But those are my only ideas. Good luck!
