I have a Creative ZEN and use the current Zencast Organizer Software on a Windows XP system to download and transfer my podcast. The Audio Podcast from CNET get the last about 55 seconds chopped off when i listen to it on my Zen. If I play the files on the PC (Media Player and VLC) the entire Podcast is there. Also I have no problem with any video or audio podcast from other sites.
Any help?
Is this happening when you allow the ZENCast software to convert the audio to video and then transfer it? If so this issue has been around for a while, at least for me, and the only "solution" I have found is to just transfer it as audio with no video conversion. They will still be tagged as ZENCasts but you have to look for them under Music -> Genre -> zencast and then you can play them.
I wish Creative would fix this, it has happened for other downloads for me too not just CNET ones.
Interesting post arbearce. I have used Zencast a lot in the past, but only for audio, so I cannot speak to your video/audio issues. Even though I use no Apple products (ipod, iphone, Mac, etc. a decision I made years ago so as not to be limited to itunes) I now use itunes for almost all of my podcast downloads, and have had no problem with video.
