Helpdesk Software

by pmwilie2003 - 7/18/08 5:41 PM

I am looking for helpdesk software for an open source software project, so it has to be free. Below are the features that I would need it to include:

-A knowledgebase to put documentation
-ability to track the workflow of a problem
-ability to "assign" a task to a certain member of the support staff

Bridgetrak

I have some positive experience with a helpdesk solution called Bridgetrak. It’s available on www.helpdesksoftware.com.

The solution includes all the features that you listed above and many of other useful ones like automatic issue escalation and active directory integration.
It also is intuitive to use.
Bridgertrak is not free but the price is very reasonable for such a set of features and there is also a 30 day trial.

Hope this helps, James
