Hey there,
My old mp3 player has been out of action for a while now, and it was only mediocre to begin with (some version of a RUSH player by Phillips), so now I'm looking to buy a new one.
The only time I use an mp3 player is when I'm active -- I use it while I ride by bicycle, while I walk, exercise, etc. Therefore I want something that is easy to navigate without needing to use a stylus and without me needing to look at it (I.e. navigate by feel). This also means I want a flash player, since it's likely to be dropped and have a little rough handling. I'd prefer to get about 4 GB, but the size isn't the most important factor.
I want an FM radio included. As much as I like listening to the music I have already, it gets old after a while and I tend to switch to the radio. Also helpful for getting weather reports, etc.
I have a lot of songs on my computer, mostly from CDs I have purchased, some that I have gotten from friends, etc. I don't pirate music, but I do know some people have issues moving their music (or eBooks) from their computers to mp3 players regardless. I don't want to have issues -- I want to drag and drop my music and have it work without needing some sort of software or code. My RUSH player was like this, and even if nothing else about it was special it deserves a plus for that.
Lastly, it needs to be a player that either comes with or has the option to purchase some sort of carrying case. I want it to be attachable to my waistband or upper arm for when I'm running around with it -- having something I can navigate easily by touch isn't helpful if I have to dig it out of my pocket first.
Thank you all in advance for any suggestions you are able to offer. I suppose it's also worth noting that if I can't get "all of the above" in an mp3 player I probably won't bother purchasing one.
Since I can't figure out how to edit my post...
Wanted to say that I'd also prefer something with a shuffle feature -- it gets old really fast if my music always plays in the same order.
4GB is I think around $70
has I think everything you asked for, no case but has a removable belt clip on its back
you kinda need the screen to navigate but the layout is simple enough that you may learn to memorize where stuff is maybe
but it would be easier just to make a playlist before you go on your activities
You can take a look the iriver lplayer and T7. They are 2 new iriver players in 2008 and they have ability to create on-the-go playlists. Pretty fit your need!
Good little player with great sound quality and an armband case available. More expensive then the clip but has a color screen.
I recently bought this one at buy.com, SDAT ADI 1G with voice recorder and FM tuner. It only cost me a little over 20 bucks and actually turned out to work really well! You can give it a try.
Dear all,
Last year, i bought a MP3 player, which cost me 20 dollars, but one month lates, it don't work any more, i have sent it back to the seller, the after-service repair it, but i still use it another month. I am cazy at that time, so i don't believe the cheap MP3 any more in small store.
