Can I use an iPhone G1 as an iTouch without a service agreem

So with all the gen. 1 iPhones about to hit the market I am wondering if I can simply buy a used iPhone, not sign-up for any phone service, and use it as an iPod Touch. So I would NOT being making any calls and would NOT be using the EDGE or 3G.

Nope. That's why they call them the iBrick pre-activation. You can literally do nothing with them without a service agreement.

They are bigger, heavier, and no point in it anyways when iTouch is better (without phone stuff better battery life).
