Conflicting information about Zune 4GB/8GB?

by aubrey_q - 6/25/08 11:53 PM

Regarding its *ahem* A/V capability:

http://www.zune.net/en-us/products/zune4gb8gb/specs.htm (scroll down to section labeled "ports")

and

http://www.zune.net/en-us/products/compare.htm (pretty clear here, but not when you read the "ports" section in the above link)

Help! I don't want to give the wrong answer!!

About the "compare" link

In the "compare" link, I'm referring to the "Video Output" section, which the website actually spells as "Ouput".

Typo

Basically, both those pages have a typo. The second page is simply "Ouput" like you mentioned. The first page though lists a feature that the flash Zunes don't have. I bought a Zune 8GB thinking it would be nice to output to the TV, but not essential. I very dissapointed to find out it does not support this feature. This is also supported by the AV cable that Microsoft sells for the Zune. On the package it lists all the Zunes, but that only the audio is supported on the flash based Zunes. Bummer.
