I can't make my mind upon the Pioneer PDP-5010FD 50" 1080p plasma or the Panasonic TH-50PZ800U 1080p 50" plasma. Both TVs costs almost the same. The Panasonic is a brand new model with THX that gained really good reviews in CNET, and the Pionner is the top 2007 model. But Pioneer is Pioneer.
Which TV will display the absolutely best picture? Which would you buy and why??
Thank you
Buy the pioneer. I have noticed quite a bit more "noise" in the panasonics this year. I have seen these side by side and would say the Pioneer is still much better when it comes to black levels and the single pane glass design still rules. The Pioneer 5020 is coming in at 3800 bucks, may be worth a look, claim 5xbetter black levels than the 1st Generation Kuro's. But I have yet to display the new Pioneer and havnt personally seen it.
