Looking for a semi-good Linux laptop

Hi all,
Im trying to track down a semi-good Linux laptop to buy in the uk, can anyone advise? i'm trying to advoid the EEE PC 900 laptops unless I have no other option, as I would like a full size laptop, looking to spend aroung £400.

OS should work. I bought a ECS laptop in 2000 and it came with a type of Linux CD. With a barebone system you can order what you want if Linux is available they will even install it.

they are offering Ubuntu pre-installed on some of there laptops
