Hello I really found your post helpful and I am dealing with this situation now...I was on the Tmobile website and I cannot find a $5.99 web plan? There is a Blackberry Internet Service add-on for $19.99 and a Smartphone Total Internet add-on for $19.99. Which service do I need to add to use my unlocked Blackjack II with my tmobile service? Thank yoU!!

T-Mobile Settings

by ralhsa - 6/23/08 12:34 AM In reply to: From the T-Mobile website... by injustifiiable

MMS Server - http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
APN - wap.voicestream.com
Gateway - 216.155.165.50 or 216.155.165.050
Port - 8080 or 9201

seen both gateways work all depends on account settings

T-Zones $5.99 or T-Zones $9.99

BlackJack and BlackJack II have a known issue where unable to save MMS profile - Master Clear / Master Reset MAY fix this

Hope this helps

you need to call t-mobile and they can actually send your phone what's called dotac settings so it can access the wap and t-zones. they will also give you the website to visit...

internet and mms

by hungboii - 6/13/08 2:28 AM In reply to: did you get this to work on T-Mobile with data? by ttremaine

hi, i purchased my i607 from ebay unlocked and the first thing i did was go to the t mobile website to get the settings. i want to share with those who are still having trouble. i quickly found the settings for the MMS service from the t mobile site and it worked great!

here is what i used for MMS:

On the handset, press Start.
Scroll to Messaging and press OK.
Scroll to SMS/MMS and press OK.
Press Menu.
Scroll to MMS Options and press OK.
Scroll to MMS Profiles and press OK.
Press Menu.
Scroll to New and press OK.
Scroll to Profile Name.
Enter T-Mo MMS in the Profile Name field.
Scroll to MMSC URL.
Enter http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms in the MMSC URL field.
Scroll to Proxy and press OK to check this option.
Scroll to Address.
Enter 216.155.165.050 in the Address field.
Scroll to Port.
Enter 8080 in the Port field.
Press Menu.
Scroll to Advanced Settings and press OK.
Scroll to APN.
Enter wap.voicestream.com in the APN field.
Scroll to Login ID.
Enter in the Login ID field.
Scroll to Password.
Enter in the Password field.
Press Done.
Press Save to save the settings.
Scroll to newly created profile and press OK.
Press Done.
Press End Call Key to back to the main screen.
The handset is now configured for using MMS.

i then tried to have it set for internet but no luck. that is when i found this site. i followed the internet instructions on page 1 from INJUSTIFIABLE and ORIGINALXFAKE, and also on page 3 by ONESIMUS35, and got internet to run perfect! keep in mind that i subscribed to the $5.99 t mobile web plan (i don't know if this really matters). email me if you need help.. hung_boyy@hotmail.com :)

Re: Internet and MMS

by kgodbey - 6/16/08 3:23 AM In reply to: internet and mms by hungboii

I'm trying to follow the steps to enable both MMS and Internet. I've got unlimited messages, and the 5.99/month T-Mobile Data Plan.

With the MMS, when it says:
Enter 8080 in the Port field.
Press Menu.
Scroll to Advanced Settings and press OK.

There's no option for me to click Menu. It's either Save or Cancel. What do I do? Am I missing something?

Also, I'm unable to get the mobile Internet to work. It's upsetting, as I'm paying the money to get the service, but it won't work.

Please help.

mms

by hungboii - 6/18/08 9:45 PM In reply to: Re: Internet and MMS by kgodbey

ok, i just tried to duplicate your proble. i figured it out. you must have windows mobile 6, it works a little different. try to do all of the stuff on page 1, then:

1:start
2:message, then OK
3:menu, then select multimedia message
4: go to multimedia msg. profiles
5:edit the T-MO MMS profile you just created
6:you should have all the settings from before up to where you entered "8080" for the port, go to the bottome and scroll to "t-mobile internet"

you should be good to go

unable to send email

by gigoypotpot - 6/24/08 5:15 PM In reply to: mms by hungboii

Hello all,

I basically read this whole thread in order to set up my unlocked BJ2 (WM6) to tmobile. Everything worked perfectly until today when it stopped being able to send emails.

I got the phone last week and I was able to send emails fine. Today, I can still receive email but no longer send. I don't know what happened. Can anyone help me? PLeasE? Could it also be that yahoo is experiencing some technical difficulties or is that highly unlikely?

I am getting "error: Please make sure you have coverage or your account settings are correct"

helpppppp!
