the links were pretty good. Im pretty sure im gonna get one right where it comes out but i heard it was gonna be in Q2. DUDE I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!! I've been through 2 ipod videos and 1 nano and i had it w/ the apple ipods. Macs are wonderful machines, but their ipod suck so bad. But yeah, does anyone know the exact release date of the clix2?
Hey, I have an old, old iPod I've been using for years and it does the job, lets me listen to my music. But could you explain why the iPods suck so much and what you really like about the iRiver Clix?
I have heard a few downsides to the Clix:
- can't listen to while charging
- someone mentioned the video lags or maybe it was their video file itself?
- difficult to convert files
I love my iPod because it works and the click wheel is easy. But if I can get other features (like with the Clix), maybe that would be cool too.
If anything is a pure distillation of Apple's 'just works' philosophy it's the iPod... except for the equalizer which 'just never works'. Their computers don't do such a great job of the same philosophy in reality.
Because it's cooler than the iPod. I know the Apple is marginally easier to use and offers far better playlisting / syncing functions, but the Clix2 is just flat-out more fun to use.
It's not difficult to convert video files but the fact that you have to convert things like video podcasts which I watch a reasonable amount of is a hassle. As for DVD's and movies... well, it's exactly the same hassle as it is with the iPod.
I never listen while charging. I just leave it (and all my other MP3 players) on the PC at night.
I've got one, and I can tell you that you *can* listen to it while charging - you just change tyhe USB Mode is Settings. As for file conversion, Windows Media Player will do all audio and most videos - some will require you to find a more powerful coversion tool.
no i dont know, the 2gb/4gb are gonna be released in korea on the 12th of february (tomorrow) and with the 8gig following in around a month(im guessing). But in the U.S it is being guessed that the 2gb/4gb will be released in march and the 8gb following in april...im gonna wait for the 8gb
