Just repeating my past advice. 1) Uninstall the Office 2007 demo. 2) Turn off UAC during the install.

i didn't have to turn uac off, or do anything else to install office 2000 on windows vista. all i did was pop in the disc and follow the instructions like i have for many previous systems.

I'm sharing what I found I had to do for a few installs. After a few failures I share what got it working. I'm only at a few hundred installs so I bet it only happens occasionally.
