Canon zr850 questions
by imacowgirl2 - 6/2/08 7:33 PMI've been extensively researching the zr850, but have come across conflicting information...
Does the zr850 support analog-to-digital conversion or not? The review on cnet says it doesn't, but its listed as an additional feature on the specs page...
Also, for those that have this camera...is the noise from the camera overpowering?

ZR-850 Passthrough

It appears to have in/out analog capability for audio and only out for video. Which is too bad. I just got mine back from Canon repair - the DV port is very fragile and it stopped working. Same thing happened on my Sony but it was out of warranty and too expensive to fix now.
As far as noise goes, it's not bad.
