I am trying to figure out how to make Windows XP set the date & time automatically on a Kodak CX6330. I connect it to my computer with a USB cable.
If I go to MY COMPUTER, the camera is listed as "CX6330 Zoom Digital Camera". When I right-click on it and go to PROPERTIES, on the GENERAL tab there is a button called SET TIME, whenever I click it, I get the following message...
"The camera failed to synchronize its time with the computer. Please check its connection to the computer and that the camera is turned on."
So I click the TEST CAMERA button also on the GENERAL tab and the message says...
"Your imaging device successfully completed the diagnostic test."
The pictures transfer from it just fine using the Windows XP Scanner & Camera Wizard so I am confused why Windows XP cannot set the date & time on the camera. This would make my life easier.
I have updated the firmware on the camera to version 1.03 thinking that might have allowed Windows XP to set the date & time on the camera but it didn't work. I DO NOT USE KODAK EASYSHARE! It sucks, lol.
Thanks in advance!
From what I read at the Kodak website, this ability is tied to EasyShare Software.
Here is a link.
