by Xm4st3r - 12/28/07 8:20 AMHey there. I got a Sony Ericsson Z310a for xmas. Im looking for a song converter that I could use to convert .mp3 to ringtone format.
I tried to transfer a mp3 to my cellphone using bluetooth, it works fine but I just can't use it as a ringtone. So I guess i need a converter of some sort. I've searched but every program I find have mixed reviews. This is why im asking here.
Does anybody know a good converter? How can I use .mp3 songs as a ringtone?

Had to dig info on Fido (Rogers) to learn that they've locked the use of .mp3 as ringtones so they could force people to buy ringtones from them. They made pressure on Sony-Ericsson to remove DRM Packager which was an utility to bypass the said lock. But the internet has been very good with me and I got my hands on the utility.
Now I can use .mp3s as ringtones.

i have downloaded the drm packager but i can only use the mp3 file as a message alert tone and not as a ringing tone.
