OMG! Voom is gone from Dish network??? For those of you who don't know VOOM channels: check out the web site www.voom.com
it's after midnight and I just spoke to a dish network rep I noticed that Rush, Monsters, Equator , Kung Fu, and Rave are gone!!!Those channels were great!
The channels were often original programming, and many times I showed guests who were convinced about HD content. This is exactly what I told the rep.
I am very disappointed with the new programming!! All they did was removed 10-15 true HD programming and add 22 not so HD (most unconverted & not new programming) these were always new productions with latest HD technology. You be the judge just compare the channels on the VOOM site to the new/existing Dish content.. nothing like it there ![]()
Everyone should send email via dish website as well!!!!
I can see by your urgency that you are upset and I do understand.
I have read about this on some news and other satellite forums and it seems like these were obscure channels with limited viewers. Sorry you had to lose these but you are fighting a losing battle...
I had the Ultimate, or whatever they called it, package for quite some time and found I almost never watched the Voom offerings. The movie channels only had about 6 titles that they repeated constantly. Sure, some of them looked nice and if someone come over to see your system, you could slow them a nice picture, but I never watched the programming. I went back to the HD essentials a couple months ago and do not miss anything that I lost. As long as you get the top 250 and locals, you have the very best of the HD programming. National Geographic is a good sub for Equator. Monsters, Kung Fu and that World Cinema channel was a waste. Use your 10 bucks to rent some good movies. Rush and Rave were stations to watch when there just was nothing else to watch--interesting, but not my first choice. Who needed HD News? Gallery??-go to an art museum. I forget the other because they were forgetable. I just noticed a couple more HD stations pop up the other day. Dish will keep adding them and eventually, most of your programming will be HD.
If Dish dropped Voom, that will be the death of Voom.
