Wifi network at 25% of 54 Mbps

by kanstar - 5/9/08 6:26 AM

Hi,

I have used my private Wifi (WPA-PSK) connection for sometime now.

Recently, I have started using Torrents to send my encrypted presentation files to my colleague that I found out that I was not able to fully utilize my broadband connection of 2mbps. My wireless utility always is at 25% or less. I do not understand the way this can be maximized as my laptop is the only connection to Wifi and that I have loaded the upload queue. My computer and network router is a pure 802.11 G network. Linksys + Vaio TX.

Please help.

Thanks!
Kanav

Get wired. I'm going to decline writing why in every reply about latencies, drivers and issues since I've done that for others in this forum too many times.

Besides 25% of 54 Mpbs sounds STELLAR!! Your internet connection is likely to be cable so you are doing quite well!
