If it looks great to you buy it.It will be old technology before you pay for it,But thats everything (cars, dishwashers, etc.)The only thing to think of is when it breaks, not if but WHEN is who is gonna fix it, Sombody locally or do you have to box it up and ship it to ? bumhole wherever? Might make the diff. between brand x and brand z because it will break down and who knows when, but it will since it's man made it will, so also look at your repair options, Maybe this does'nt matter if you live in a big city that everything is fixed by everybody but if you are in a small town think about that?

Well I do think about it as I live in a community of 600 - 1000 people!
Also with the way MOST things last these days if you don't have any problem for 3 years "THROW IT AWAY AND BUY A NEW ONE!"
Reason being the COST OF LABOR AND PARTS will exceed the cost of a new one.
It is not like it was in the 1960's through 1980's when parts and labor would cost no more than 1/10 of the cost of any TV or Stereo for repair although near the middle of the 80's that started to be iffy due to the reduction of cost of TV's and Stereos and PARTS went through the ceiling!
If you want the MAXIMUM LIFE out of electronic items do the following
TURN IT IN AND NEVER TURN IT OFF AS HEATING AND COOLING IS WHAT KILLS ELECTRONICS.
