I have just downloaded the demo version of
"Disk Password Protection v.4.8.930".
I ran it for the first time and enabled password protection
for 1 of my disk partiotion.
Till then everything was ok,but as I restarted my pc that partiotion
was not listed under the software(Disk Password Protection v.4.8.930).
I uninstalled and then reinstalled the software but for no avail.
I even tried connecting the drive to other pc but still the same
results.I am unable to restore the partiotion through system recovery.
My configuration is as follows:
OS- Windows XP SP2
intel p35 motherboard
320 gb seagate sata hdd having 5 windows partiotions(1 of them(80gb) has been
locked) and 2 linux partiotions.
"Disk Password Protection v.4.8.930"
i sent them a lots of mails regarding the problem but it seems they just dont want to reply any complaints about their buggy software.
its more than a week and i have lost the hope to get any reply from their side.
If not, they usually don't reply or help.
Get Fresh UI from freshdevices.com.
Start it and in the pane to the left, choose Windows Explorer---->Drives Settings. Option 3 & 4 are "Restrict Drive Access" and "Show/Hide Drives". Try finding the drive that was locked.
Try this. Have you tried the registry method? If not, reply, I will try to send it ASAP.
ya i tried regedit but for no avail coz it doesn't do anything with the
registry. i tried connecting the disk to other pc's and tried it on other os's but its being shown as free space..
i think it does some editin on the hardware level of the disk.
i tried acronis disk director but for no avail...
i will try the software you suggested. and plese be in touch
i am damn frustrated that partition contains all of ma crucial data
and i have no backup..
