motorola for me...it ahs the best reception of the ones i've tried in this area....nokia prolly would come a close second but the carriers i can choose from around here don't carry nokia phones for me to try.
The best thing for me is the fact that I have never had a dropped call. I've owned 4 now and all the basic needs are there. I love the voice rec. so I can call a number just saying call "who ever " (they dropped that one and you had to "teach" the phone to understand you" . They went back to the frist one and all is well. LG is only held back by the server. (USCELLULAR)> You also can hear better and seem to get a stronger connection on the LG. I have tryed several MOTOROLA's and always had dropped calls trouble hearing ect. I love
LG.
i presently have "other", but i would have preferred a motorola except they don't have a wm6 device. hope the breakup leads to better products.
I'm loyal to Nokia, after having owned many makes of cellphones, i have always preferd Nokia: easy to use, great interface and great build quality.
Motorola have often disappointed with their interface (I live in Europe, so the carrier doesn't install their software) whereas the Samsung interface now looks the same: very boring.
i prefer nokia phones because of its user friendly features that you cannot find on other brands. parts and accesories are also available everywhere and anywhere.
I never been loyal to a particular cell phone manufacturer. Instead, my loyalty has centered on the cell phone carrier. For the past 9 years, I have been a loyal customer of Sprint PCS until last month. Every two years I would get a new cell phone on the Sprint network. My last cell phone with Sprint was the Black Berry Curve; before that I had the MotoQ9C. In short, I never was excited about a particular phone on the Sprint network BUT the Black Berry did revolutionized how I used such a device and since being a loyal customer of Sprint for so long, I was, for the first time, excited about one of their phones: the Palm Pre.
For the first time, I went on to such blogs to read reviews, watch youtube videos, had conversations with my friends and colleagues, and sat with anticipation for June to arrive. In late May, Sprint announced the price point for the Palm Pre. I called "customer care" and was informed that I had to wait until my contract expired in November to get the subsidized Palm Pre price (the same thing AT&T initially told many current iPhone 3G customers). Dissatisfied with this response, I sent emails to management and even the CEO of Sprint and was repeatedly told that they had to adhere to the contract and that I would be eligible for the upgrade price in November. Despite being in a contract with Sprint, I thought they would AND should be flexible given that I have been a loyal customer of nine years; this, in my opinion, was especially important since Sprint AND Palm are fledgeling companies. Sadly, Sprint was not flexible and did not care that I had been a loyal customer.
So, I canceled my contract after 9 years of loyalty and took the money I expected to give Sprint to buy a subsidized Palm Pre and bought the iPhone 3G (which, at the time cost the same price also after much complaining and chronic calling Sprint let me out of my contract without a fee -- so that was the bright note in this entire experience). Because I never followed Apple and iPhone I had no idea that a newer model would be released. Since I am still within the first 30 days of my contract AT&T allowed me to pre-order the 3GS and on Friday, I will do an even exchange. I am VERY happy with AT&T and Apple's iPhone thus far.
However, had Sprint accommodated a loyal customers and allowed me to purchase the Palm Pre at the same price new customers, just as AT&T recently announced they will do for current iPhone 3G customers, I would still be a loyal Sprint customer. But thanks to their inflexibility, I feel that I will have one of the best phones on the market and look forward to becoming a loyal iPhone customer.
