Yes, upscaling standard def videos to your TV's...

I'm assuming you will be connecting to your TV via HDMI? If so, no problem. The OPPO is a great DVD player but some of the Blu Ray's are getting pretty inexpensive. Jumping to a Blu ray might be another option as they will upscale your standard def videos also.
