Want my PC to answer my home phone, any ideas?
by happystep0101 - 4/21/08 6:13 PMMy digital answering machine died. Before I replace it I wondered if there is a program to use where my PC would answer my home phone and record voice messages. I currently run Microsoft Office 2000 with XP.
We use our cell phones for most all calls, but some companies/ dr appt reminders and such will still call the home number. We use Quest dsl for online.

That requires a Voice Modem

And many of the Voice Modems come with said program.

have you tried voip?
