Future proofing/ comments on the Samsung LED DLP(HL61A650)
by lepiane - 4/19/08 5:28 AMI am strongly considering the Samsung HL61A650 and have read but few reviews. I would like to go slightly smaller but for some reason Samsung did not put the LED in the new 50" & 56". The local store that has it isn't much help.
Any techies or owners out there with some opinions? thanks.

Samsung has been very aggressive in the past few years, coming from an also ran to one of the biggest players. They also try to cover the waterfront so as to not miss out on market niches.
They can be pretty good & also a bit less so, according to places like C/NET reviews. For instance, their first two years introductions of LED projection sets were great ideas, but C/NET reviewed as not consistently well implemented.
Wait for a bit more public exposure & reviews. The price will only get somewhat more reasonable in that time anyway.
