would the zen stone plus be an ideal buy for someone looking for a portable radio that can fit in your pocket?
I'd like to be able to listen to talk radio without headphones. Is there a built in speaker or do I need headphones with zen stone plus?
One with a built-in speaker and one without. I don't know how good it sounds using the speaker. I wouldn't expect much in a device that small. I suppose if you're listening to talk radio, it won't matter. I hope it's on fm, because most mp3 players that have radios have fm only. If you do decide you want to use headphones, the included earbuds aren't very good so you'd be bettered served by replacing them. This is usually the case with most mp3 players anyway.
Though the stone plus is small, its built-in speaker is pretty loud
does it work good for radio withOUT headphones?
Can I use the Zen stone plus as a radio with its built-in speaker without attaching any headphones? With the ZEN the headphones act as antenna I'm told and reception can be spotty without headphones attached. But the ZEN does NOT have built-in speaker.
I'm hoping I can turn on the Zen Stone Plus and get radio and hear the radio from the built-in speaker. Does this work for you?
