I will never buy one..yes, I am pretty sure about that, too. I just don't need anything that fancy and the cost is outrageous.
I will get an iPhone when:
1. It is a full-featured PDA, such as Palm
2. It is a good personal media player (movies and TV from storage and streaming)
3. It utilizes the fastest networking available
4. It has decent storage capacity
5. And it is not serviced by a carrier who insists available features be hobbled.
Things i dislike a lot about the current iPhone:
A- "special" iPhone plans
B- Keyboard is really hard to txt on
C- AT&T sucks! (I want to actually get reception)
D- No PIX/Video Messiging
E- Other small things
If Apple makes these changes and makes the iPhone avalible on Verizon Wireless, i would get it in a heartbeat.
PS I have the LG Voyager and I LOVE IT 2 Death!!!!!!!!
Way too expensive. not to mention they are on AT&T. Wil wait till touch phones become more affordable.
I actually will never understand why people buy the iphone. I bought it then traded it in for a ATT Tilt. My tilt blows the iphone pretty much out of the water. I have to use a stylus but that does not bother me. You pay money for proprietary piece of hardware that you can barely get apps for. Mac is pushed by the movies industry and that is the only reason you have people buying it up in a cult like fashion.
I have seen people swear by this phone which makes no sense. It is a ipod touch with a phone. *** good is that? I can play a bunch of music on my phone...movies...i can watch youtube. I have web and Instant messaging. Also that stupid upgrade stuff they come out with....what is with that. ooooooo you can make the today screen icon shake....ooo....YOU CAN CHANGE THE TODAY SCREEN ICONS...WOW!! Apple for you.
I got a friend who has a apple notebook computer and i am blown away by its eye candy but lack of features. My notebook is a Sony and just like the tilt compared to iphone it blows it out of water. It is mostly due to the proprietary nature of apple. They thrive off people who want pretty hardware instead of functionality. Like they cant find a cute girl to date so they buy a cute computer.
People swear by a product thats all looks. Talk the talk but damn far from walkin' the walk. I would go back to a Motorola Q or razor before I touch a apple product again. I am ashamed to have that product show up when i log into Att's website. It's rather demeaning. BTW if you want a good phone go with sprint and get the touch that phone rocks.
LGX 1000 Voyager Verizon !
Don't need another device that can almost do my pc's job but not quite. I need a phone that is small that can actually have the voice commands function and give me great bluetooth sound. If I want to browse the web I can go home or to my office. That is enough browsing for me.
I already did & it's a great phone indeed... I definitely won't be going back to the old cellphone style anymore, after I use the iPhone... for me, it's a very cool cellphone... never regretted buying it ![]()
I don't want to add to Apple's ego. Their products are successful based on third parties software. They act like it is their own.
No physical QWERTY keyboard (would want it in landscape mode on either a slider or flip), no standard mini-USB port, no removeable battery, no SDHC expansion card slot, is the OS proprietary or open source?, i know of a case where the screen has broken under much less rough treatment than I am likely to subject an electronic device to, skype blocked on 3G/cell network...
Fix those issues, drop the minimum monthly price that includes unlimited data to $40/mo, keep the phone's price the same (as well as offering it at somewhat higher price tiers on a 1-year term or unlocked month-to-month), and I'm in.
