I needed an overnight bag to cart my first one around. My hands down favorite was my V60...I miss it. I had all the add on accessories for it that are now built into my V3 and some that are not. My hubby's V557 is a sturdy working mans phone that takes a beating. If you don't lose it (his third...the charm) it is a good partner on the job. My V3 has taken some serious spills and has tossed it's battery door but otherwise remains unscaithed. Every Motorola has gotten service where other brands on the same provider have failed to acquire a signal.
Cingular...the new AT&T, needs to offer a GPS tracking service that is already built into the phones...to find it when it is lost on a 100 acre construction site and to find that teenager on Saturday night..
Samsung
I like the phones. They're small enough, but don't sink to the bottom of my purse and don't weight a ton.
Here's the weird part: current phone is a Motorola b/c carrier required switch in phone to update plan. One of my family members picked the samsung (b/c it wax blue?) so I could get that phone (and still know how to work it w/o reading the manual and playing for hours) or I could let my spouse pick out it. I went with the latter and he was dead set on the Motorola Razor. I don't like its feel though it is light. IT DOES SINK THOUGH. I like its speaker & its got bluetooth if I would fork out for a headpiece. It has connected with Bluetooth capacity PDA, w/o me knowing and ran the battery of the PDA down very low. It has done this twice, but now I know to look for BT engaged/or disabled.
i have had motorola, nokia and LG phones. i presently have LG.the motorola i had was horrible with reception. loved there features but that was it. had to quickly trade it for another. i got an LG. they have been pretty descent phones. love LG's front load washer and dryers too. anyway, I have always liked my Nokia phones but it seems they arent making cute/workable/featured/flip phones. not through ATT anyway.
I am loyal to samsung for many reasons, but the main reason is that you can trust Samsung to never fail to improve good phones to great phones. Samsung simply never stops innovating.
Look at the iPhone. Samsung may not have made the prototype, but it is already getting ready to release the Samsung F700, which anyone would agree that it is WAAAAAAAAY better than the iPhone(it has everything the iPhone has, plus removable battery, plus 3G connection and bluetooth!)
Sanyo: Reliable,Affordable,The Understated Good Guys
Motorola:OH....ITS PRETTY!!.......CHEAP, UNRELIABLE,CRAP
Nokia: Good. But Rare.
Samsung: A Phone a day keeps moto away!! (FROM THE NO.2 SPOT)
LG: Beauty and Brains!!
Apple: Pretty, Overhyped, Overpriced, Overrestricted
Kyocera: Needs Mental Help
Pantech: They know how to squeeze.
RIM Blackberry: Okay, lets move on form E-MAIL now!!!
Sony Ericsson: KING OF MUSIC
I originally was an avid believer in "get the cheapest service you can possibly find"
that lasted two years... I have been a verizon user for the last 8 years. They have worthless overseas customer support, but my actual service has never given me problems, very few dropped calls, usually attributable to the phone, not the service. Not exactly the cheapest, but sometimes it really is true that you get what you pay for.
I'm not affiliated with this site, but there is a cool graphic showing pricing structure among the various service providers and some price comparisons between the offered phones
check it here: http://verizoncell.net/2007/07/26/current-cell-phone-specials-with-new-service/
Im not just loyal to the iPhone(I don't have one but im craving it!) I am loyal to the entire Apple line.
Palm combines the best that technology offers as its smartphones utilize the features of the most sophisticated cell phones combined with extensive built-in PDA programs, excellent Internet access, the ability to select from tens of thousands of applications all availabe at a reasonable price enclosed in a small package with a screen and keyboard that aren't microscopic. Whether using the PalmOS or Windows OS, this hand-held computer does spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and word-processing, etc. while allowing for GPS, viewing full-length movies saved to SD cards, automatic scrolling of thousands of e-books, listening to music, taking photos and videos viewable as slideshows or e-mails, recording messages, or text-messaging, voice mailing, and conference calling just like any other cell phone. I haven't been without my Palm for years and hope to never have to do without it.
Hands down Sanyo!! I have the LG EnV and hate it, I miss text messages all the time and it randomly turns itself off all the time for no reason.
I have had at least phone for all this companies; LG,Motorola,Nokia,Palm,RIM BlackBerry,Samsung,Sony Ericsson.
I dont think there is one company i can be loyal forever. for some reason the cell phone manufacturer change so much all the time. my first phone was a samsung and i love the phone but one day out of nowhere the phone just broke when i went to answer it lol. Remember back when the motorola TimePort was hot? now that was a good phone. I think every phone change alot on every model. some are good some are bad. a good example is motoroal, they make nice looking phone but the phone itself is a peace of chit. sony ericsson makes good phone sometimes, nokia was good. blackberry are ok depending on the model..the wheel on my wifes tmobile just broke off and wont scroll anywhere and she only had it for a few months. my treo has been one of the best phone i own on a long long time. i drop this heavy thing all over and it is still working better than new lol wm need alot of more work but cant blame palm for it.
right now I will stay loyal to palm and get the new treo 800wx when it comes out for sprint. my 700wx is getting old but i find a new toy to play with everytime. thank god for the open community online make/creating new software all the time.
I like motorola because it has nice designs (RAZR,SLVR,KRZR,RIZR,etc.)
But LG is the best because it has the best designs, software, and durable phones. LG is amazing! GO LG!
i would have to say either samsung or LG. i have owned two LG phones, one samsung and one motorola. I think that LG and samsung both have very intuitive designs and are extremely practical. Currently i have the Samsung SCH-u740 and love it. i use both sides of it daily and think of it as a very practical phone. You dont realize how much you need it until you actually have it. I think design and feature wise, samsung has an edge. When it comes to durability and design, LG manages to fit it's quality into every phone. I had the LG 8100 for a very long time and it could survive anything. There was one time that i tripped and the phone fell down two flights of stairs! and it survived amazingly. I personally think that motorola is very generic and does not really come up with anything original or innovative. I think the best motorola proctudt to date is the razr 2. But alas, even that wont change my views. LG and Samsung all the way!
...I like the LG's and the ones made by Samsung. The only reason why I have motorola is because this the only cellphone that alltel offers when they sign you up for your first contract phone. If I want to get another phone , I would have to pay for the phone outright in order to get another type of phone.
I have had ever cell phone known to man and I always go back to either a Moto or Nokia. They still have their flaws but I just find they work the best for your buck.
I got my first cell phone when I lived in Switzerland. It was a nice phone, not too complicated. Then I got a new on a SE with what was to be the best picture phone at the time. Then I moved to Zurich and got a new SE phone. The K750i. This phone rocked. Photos were incredible. I am a photographer and when I would show someone a picture off the 2MB camera they'd ask, which camera I made that one with. I'd whip out my cell phone and they'd say, "nein, sicher?", "no, really?" Now I have the SE W580i in black and this one is also super. The possibilities you can have with such a little item is fantastic.
I've used other phones, Nokia, Motorola, LG. Out of these the motorola wins for style, design, but the runner ups are there as they don't match the SonyEricsson for ease, design, style, price. I know the phone companies don't generally stock sony ericsson phones and that is a pity.
