Hi i'm Andrew and i need help, i have a Creative ZEN 4GB[the new one of course] and it was nice at first, but now i really dont think it was all that good. the battery life is MUCH less than creative labs suggested. and it smudges and has a plethora of scratches all over the screen and i was wondering a good alternative for it. i would still use the ZEN, but i want a higher capacity player. so if any, can anybody tell me a player they would suggest thats NOT an apple ipod. my main choices are the microsoft Zune 80 or the samsung YP-P2[the one with the touch screen] because the samsung has i nice screen while the Zune is still an underdog but still very nice. so SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!
go with archos 605 i have it its sweet
an arm and a leg is "hip street" but the capacity is only 4G. though but it does have a sd slot.
no thanks, no sansa players, i had a sansa e260R for 4 GB but i had to search the sansa forums on how to delete the rhapsody files so i would have a true 4GB player, then it wouldnt put my limewire files in file order, and i dont want to buy a seperate microSD card since i already have an SD card. but thanks anyway.
This is what you use to put video on to the archos 605 it works a treat when you covert to ipod video as this is a single file and dvd quality on the archos 605 which is great the only downside too it so far that i have found is you cant find many wifi hotspot when you are out and about do you find this with yours i live in glasgow
kind regards
Ian
So I'm getting the impression that the 605 wifi cannot access secure wireless networks? Have I been led astray, or not?
Yes this is true as they are secure for a reason but you can use unsecured wireless networks but you will have to find them first, i live in glasgow, we have some in the hotels and cafe's but not sure where yours will be, also mcdonalds does wifi you will have to go inside mcdonalds as not sure if it works outside, at some restaurants but some types of devices cant access them or you can use psp if you have one, make sure you enable at the switch at the right hand side of the device, in addition to this a few coffee shops are going wifi this year so if you have a costa coffee or some other coffee shop nearby then you arre in luck if not you are not.

I dont remember, but you can try thr sandisk sansa e200R Forums at http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/ and i think it has to do with hidden files.
