Thank you, that is sound advice, but I'm mostly interested in what others have experienced. Knowing that something is compatible with your laptop is one thing, but knowing that a product performs well and is practical enough to use for someone to recommend it is a more convincing argument to buy it. There are always problems that aren't found on the spec sheets, so knowing that someone else uses it regularly and likes it is very helpful and speaks well for the product.

That are some experiences also. I think that once it works, the quality doesn't really work on the specific receiver (a USB dongle, a PC card, built in) and - if relevant - driver needed to get it working.
