freeware for using pc as a phone - not voip
by bighomer - 4/5/08 7:47 PMI've spent many hours searching the internet for a program that lets you use your modem as a phone--but not over an internet connection. Is there any such program? I'd like to be able to make calls from my pc, and possibly record conversations.

Such comes with the modem.

And the modem will be what is called a VOICE MODEM. If you don't have a voice modem and the application that came with it, then go shopping for it.

I just looked up voice modem on google. Well, it was just an idea, but this all seems like more trouble than it's worth. I'm pretty sure I don't have a voice modem, and I'm not buying one today. Maybe later. Thanks for the info.
