Identifying unmovable files

by DMBFan41 - 4/1/08 6:59 PM

Hey everyone,

Recently, I've been cleaning up my hard drive, and during defrag, I noticed I had accumulated several unmovable files that weren't previously there. I've downloaded a few programs that are probably accounting for the files (AVG, ZoneAlarm, AdAware 2007, DC++, SpyBot, Firefox + addons), but I'd still like to know just what they are. I've just been using Windows XP's (MCE) defrag, but I'm thinking of switching to Linux Mint. Are there any good defrag programs out there that could give me this info?

Give us a clue,

like the filenames and paths, (locations).

There are system files that Defrag will not move, and then there are some Temp files that are identified as "in use" for the current day if you try to move/delete them.

Without knowing more we can't help.

Defrag doesn't tell.
