Never think of IE and never look back! Even like the Colorful Tabs add-on. ;)

(NT) The memory usage/leak is what annoys me about Firefox.

Install Both: Decide for yourself (And "get rid" of IE6)

by john55440 - 8/4/07 10:13 AM In reply to: IE7 vs FF2 ? by javagorilla

I have both IE7 and FF2 installed on my machine, and strongly prefer IE7.

I like IE7's interface, the default way it handles Feeds, the New Tabs tab, the Quick Tabs view, and other things.

Others prefer FF2. Among other things, I think FF2's interface looks clunky an old fashioned.

Either way, it never hurts to have two browsers installed; the lesser used one as an "emergency backup".

IE6 is clearly inferior to both, and is clearly less secure than both, so you should get it off your machine by upgrading to IE7.

There's Pros and Cons about both!!!

by KevinChung - 8/7/07 8:58 PM In reply to: IE7 vs FF2 ? by javagorilla

Most people will find that FF is really fast, if you have a decent computer that is. If you turn on IE first then FF, FF will still beat IE in terms of speed. However, there are rumors about FF skipping a lot of security procedures. And if you use Hotmail, there's a lot of tech issues between FF and Hotmail. IE, on the other side, is dramatically slower than FF. And security are so tight, it gets really annoying. However, IE is mostly very secure(this only applies to IE 7, the older versions are pretty much totally exploited by hackers). If you have a good anti-virus program like Norton or Windows One Care, then you don't have to worry about the security issues with FF. Vice-Versa. I prefer IE because I hate how FF makes Hotmail so much more complicated. That's pretty much it.
