I'm not sure why, but my 1TB MyBook always seems to be reading, scanning or loading something in the background. I'm certain that I don't have any programs that requires this external HD, though.
It seems that every five or ten minutes, the HD starts loading up something as if it's scanning its database over and over again. There isn't any reason for this and I'd like to figure out how to stop it. Any ideas?
That and some P2P software are suspects.
Well, the 1 TB MyBook doesn't randomly load and start up like it did anymore. Yay!
I think the reason was because there were programs running on the external HD itself. So, I decided to move the programs I needed directly onto the laptop's C drive itself.
