I'm trying to create and edit a music playlist for my Samsung BlackJack II smartphone (with Windows Mobile 6 and Windows Media Player Mobile). I've tried to edit playlists on the phone itself but it's a tedious process, and I usually find that the songs I moved no longer get recognized and played.
I've tried to create or edit playlists using my home computer (Windows XP SP2) using both Windows Media Player 11 and RealPlayer 11.0.1. Though I can transfer MP3's from my hard drive to the smartphone (RealPlayer actually works better at this), I can't do anything with playlists. Neither program detects the generic playlists already on the phone. When I try to create a playlist using either WMP or RP, the program locks up with 100% CPU utilization. Only Task Manager gets me out of that loop.
There has to be a simple way to create and edit a playlist on my PC and then transfer the playlist intact to the phone (the list, not just the individual songs). I tried to move one playlist from my PC to the phone using RealPlayer. All it did was transfer the songs over but not as a separate playlist.
This isn't a critical problem but it's frustrating all the same. Any ideas? Thanks.
