1. So how many can play Multiplayer on xbox is it 16 max?
2. How do you hook up the 360...unplug my ethernet from my pc and into 360 then back to my pc for internet.does xbox have dual ethernet ports?
I don't have a 360, but I still suspect I can answer your questions.
1: It would likely depend on how many players the game is set up to handle locally, which is probably rarely going to exceed 4.
2: No, but you could get a cheap switch/hub and an extra cable or two to avoid having to swap the connection all the time.
I mean online multiplayer i thought it was 16 max maybe not locally?
If online, it still probably depends on how many players the game developer allows. I can't say for sure, but I don't think there's a ceiling for all games, just limits imposed by whatever company is running the servers. Some may be lower, others higher, but I don't THINK there's a hard limit that applies to all games.
As I said, I don't have a 360... Halo 3 is about the only game I'd want, and can't say as it justifies the price of the console at present. So, if someone else has information to the contrary, by all means, post it.
16 is about right... some games less... not many more.
You can get a switch (I use a linksys EZXS55W) that will split your line in so you can run your pc and your xbox. Pretty cheap.
Some modems have multiple connections on the back so you don't need anything.

Guys and the link...i do have a usb port on the modem so i suppose i could hook up xbox that way.Since usb 2.0 is 400 mps i would guess its faster than 360s 10/100 mps unless its gigabit ethernet.
1. It's up to the game designers. The new Frontlines game supports up to 50 online players: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/f/frontlinesfuelofwar/
2. You can place a router between your cable/dsl modem and your PC. This will allow you to connect both the PC and the XBox 360 to the Internet at the same time.
Routers listed on Netgears website: http://www.netgear.com/Products/RoutersandGateways.aspx?for=Home+Networking
thanks i think i will go with the switch since i wont be sharing an internet connection but myself. And save a few bucks and i can just switch back in forth.
