for the Zune, and now under author, there is nothing there!! My account name isn't there. I am not getting credit for creating the tips. I am logged in, i am using firefox. And then when i went to create another tip, it says i am logged in as danwgreen. Who the heck is that?! It says if I'm not him, log out. so i did, and relogged back in, and it still says I'm him, even though it says yprtb on the top right of the screen? makes no sense, please help!!
Hang in there for the moment. One of my colleagues has reported this to CNET Admin and they will look into it.

sorry, i wasn't really as mad as i sounded, just wondering why i wasn't receiving credit haha, i have alot more tips i wanna write for the zune.
thanks, and i will hang in there.
any word on when this issue will be resolved? j/w
I was the one who initially reported your issue, but the message did not reach the engineers until last week as a result of the holidays and backups the break caused. Hopefully they'll now be able to rectify it in a timely manner.

i was j/w but ya i understand whats goin on. thanx 4 the reply. ill be patient now. ![]()
its still doing it. saying I'm dangreen or w/e. has it not been fixed yet? j/w
There's one member who's been experiencing this problem since last July but the engineers haven't gotten around to fixing it yet, at least to my knowledge. I wish I could help but I'm still wondering why things such as this aren't being fixed myself. ![]()
John
i understand that its not rly a bad thing, just inconvenient, and I'm sure a site this big takes some doing to take out kinks and such.
ok its been awhile now, and still hasn't been fixed. what's going on?
this issue is still going on, on top of that in the site on certain pages if you click tips and tricks, it will take you to the reviews page! What the heck is going on? way to many site problems!
In fact, there are ongoing issues that I reported back in 2006 that remain unaddressed. It wasn't great before, but with the budget cuts and reassignment of many staff members a few months ago it's much worse.
On the Tips & Tricks front, the old Cnet Courses were closed completely, much of the staff was transferred or laid off, and the remainder of the content is going to be completely folded into, presumably reviews, in the coming month or so. I do know that they have new staff members looking into the current tips pages to clean up the content, fix existing bugs, and propose new changes, but it's not a priority. One can only hope the CBS acquisition of Cnet will help fuel further development.
John
I am really sorry though that alot of people have been laid off, thats not good at all.....Because of the economy? Anyways, at least you and i both know issues are still around with the site. Heck, if i worked there i could fix them i bet. The ones i mostly run into are just (what i think) a minor error in the html coding. But yeah, thats my opinion.
