So I have had some trouble in my setup with getting audio over HDMI. I thought I was for a few minutes but it was actually a mutlichannel input. If what I've read from some others is correct, you actually set the HDMI audio to OFF on the Onkyo menu to get audio HDMI? I guess the logic being that it stops HDMI audio from going to the TV? It just seems a little counterintuitive so I wanted to see if that was correct.
and the reveiver and "HDMI audio out" should defivately be set to off if you are using your HDMI connection. Do you have video? If not, did you assign the HDMI port to DVD in the Inpu/Output under 1-2 "HDMI in/out"? Also, in your OPPO menu, is the digital output set to "raw" and the HDMI audio set to "Auto"
