What I and many others really need is a simple method to convert our COMMERCIAL VHS movies to DVD format (NTSC) so we can play them through a stand-alone DVD players connected to a TV. I don't want to re-author, or re-format, or add titles, or add audio -- just a simple VHS to DVD conversion so I can preserve my collection of older VHS movies. Any suggestions?
Many VHS tapes used the Macrovision copy protection so any device on the market will fail.
