I still have a MessagePad 2000 and this article makes me want to dust it off and see if I can make it a good word processor when away from my computer.
Anyway, 10 years ago, Steve Jobs killed the Newton, here's the article:

My problem was, my Newton was a MessagePad 130. Got it just weeks before the 2k was released. Still loved it.
heh, the 130 wasn't that bad.... I had had an MP100! That might also be in a box somewhere. That was just too slow to useful. I have the keyboard for the 2000 and it makes a perfect companion. I would be thrilled if they would develop a folding keyboard for the iPhone.
Nah, it wasn't bad. But it never had 'Net access (unlike the 2100 or upgraded 2000). I've been using lots of PDAs since then (mostly PalmOS) and haven't yet been able to afford one which could go online.
I now lust over iPod touches.
i bought one for my vx6700, only like 30 bucks. maybe that'd work for you too!

What brand of keyboard are you talking about? I don't think there are any physical keyboards that work with the iphone.
