canon vs sony

hi right now im deciding between the canon ixus 70 & 80 or the sony W55? which one is better? i've heard that the sony have more red eyes appearing in pictures than in the canon. so apart from the red eye problem which one is worth getting?
p.s. i knw the ixus 80 is the newer model than ixus 70

Pick the Canon!

Hey, I owned the Ixus 70 (known as the SD1000 in the US) and it was great, I know someone who owns the W55 and I have personally used it.It does not compare to the Canon. I would go with the Ixus 80 (known as the SD1100 IS in the US) because it has the image stabilization.

Canon stand for cameras

Sony has good cameras but they always give less modes than Canon's Cameras for examphe W55 gives u 13 modes where the Canon IXUS 70 gives u
18 another thing Canon more accurate in colors in the images

ok... i kinda know that sony suck cause my friend have the sony W30 (6mpix) and we took the same pictures at a car show and my canon A410 (3mpix)looks better. so i'll go for the canon. do i really need the IS cause i never have any problems with blurry images cause of shaky hand.
